ABOUT RACHEL

I grew up in New York and discovered my passion for interview coaching in college, where I worked as a career peer advisor helping students with resumes, cover letters, and mock interviews.

That's where I discovered something: the people who got the best opportunities weren't always the ones with the best grades or most impressive resumes. They were the ones who knew how to interview.

My junior year, I put this to the test. I landed a top finance internship at JP Morgan, from the University at Buffalo, a school they didn't typically recruit from. I had mastered the interview!

Since then, I have continued my career in banking across marketing and strategy roles. Years later, seeing myself on a Times Square billboard felt like a dream—a reminder that strategic preparation can take you further than you'd ever imagine. Throughout my career, I kept coaching people helping professionals, students, and friends navigate career transitions and nail their interviews.

I saw the same patterns over and over: talented people underselling themselves, qualified candidates struggling through interviews, ambitious professionals not knowing how to translate their experience into compelling stories.

That's why I founded Refinery.

My mission is simple: Teach people to communicate and interview with confidence so their qualifications come through as powerfully in person as on paper.

Now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, I work with clients across the country who are ready to stop leaving interview success to chance and start showing up like they belong in the room.

Because you do.

MY APPROACH

Interview prep should feel empowering. I teach you frameworks that let your authentic self shine through.

Authenticity Over Perfection

The best interviews feel like conversations, not performances. I help you tell your story in a way that’s genuine, compelling, and uniquely yours.

Strategy Over Memorization

I teach you frameworks so you can think clearly under pressure and adapt strategically to any question thrown at you, and articulate complex ideas with ease.

Presence Over Performance

Companies hire people who show up with authentic confidence, not candidates who sound rehearsed. We work on how you carry yourself, read the room, and command respect naturally.
